Band Booster Meeting Schedule 2009-10
A letter from the Alief Taylor Band Boosters to all Taylor Band Families. Dear Taylor Band Parent,
We would like to invite you to join the most enthusiastic and effective support group in our community, the Alief Taylor Band Boosters. Behind every successful music program stands a dedicated group of parents, faithfully contributing their professional or personal expertise and support. It is you who provide the fuel for us to move forward, and we want to extend a special invitation to come join us in our efforts to support the Alief Taylor Roaring Lion Band.
Many parents really do not have a true understanding of the value they can offer by joining the booster organization. Too often, they think the reason for the group’s existence revolves solely around fundraising efforts. Although fundraising does play an important role in the agenda, it is only one aspect of a parent’s contribution. We do work hard but we have a lot of fun too.
You may think there are not enough hours in the day to add one more responsibility to your schedule. This is a legitimate concern; however, we are sensitive to that concern. You will find everyone is willing to make the necessary accommodation so all parents can become involved in some way or another. The more parents we have involved the more we can share in the responsibilities. We meet once a month, except during football season when we meet twice a month. These meetings are kept to 1 hour. Our regular meetings are conducted the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Alief Taylor High School Band Hall. For more information, please log on to our website www.TaylorLionBand.org.
